I don’t normally post reviews on things but I felt this product deserves one. I purchased the Back Hero after seeing it on my IG. I must say this thing is amazing. I’d been suffering with lower pain in my L4 and L5 for years, I also have sciatica in my right hip which was hell to sleep through. I wasn’t able to run as much as I use to because of the pinch and nerve pain. Fast forward to this past June. I received my back hero and immediately started using it. I did the first level 2-3 times a day (5 mins was here session) for a week then went up a notch the next. Now I’m still using it 2-3 times a week and my lower back and hip feels so much better. I don’t have a stabbing pain in my lower back or in my hip when I run anymore. I’m able to enjoy my day if I’m sitting long hours in the office, driving or walking and jogging. I threw out my back and was in an incredible amount of pain if I tried to bend in any direction. This little thing was a lifesaver. I didn't want to spend hundreds to go to the dr. and get scans and then chiro/PT, so I gave this and a back brace a try in hopes that it would make the pain manageable. It ABSOLUTELY worked and now my back pain is less than what it was before it completely gave out! Assembly does require some force after the first notch. The highest notch was pretty difficult the first few times I switched it, but I'm also 5'2", so that setting just made me feel like I was almost doing a complete back bend, but seemed okay for my 6' partner. I alternate between the lowest and middle notch. The spikes on it is painful at all and provides some needed pressure. I think you can put in on your chair and use it that way. I've just been putting it on the floor and laying on it for 5-10 minutes at the beginning and end of the day. The first time I used it, my back cracked in about 12 different places which kind of scared the crap out of me but I immediately felt so much better. I'm honestly in love with this thing and I'm pretty picky and have commitment issues. And yes- that's absolutely ridiculous because it's literally just two pieces of plastic. Now just be mindful that I never found out why my back gave out so will this be as life changing for you as it was for me? I sure as heck can't tell you, but if my 2 cents are worth anything, I'd say it's worth a try. (I'm 100% not saying that this is an alternative to professional medical care and do not follow the example of someone who makes questionable decisions about her health)

The back hero is here to save the day! It couldn't have arrived at a better time. This quarantine is not helping my back pain at all. Right away I started on the 2 arch level which is my favorite. I also tried the 3rd arch level but I'm not quite ready for that one yet. The 2 level provide just the right amount of stretch my back needs and can handle. I’m a 9-5 desk slave and this has changed my life. I’m only 24 and have had back pain so bad that I hunch for a few minutes when I stand up. I bought this for my office chair, because I now spend most of the day sitting. When I went to place it on my chair I noticed that the retention strap was more or less useless because it failed to keep tight. Luckily it isnt necessary because the product just rests on the seat of the chair anyway. The needles were a little bit hard to get used to, but over all it kind of feels nice to have some pressure points on the back. Overall im very pleased for what I paid for. I only use level one for now, which is the least curved, and that seems to be more than enough.

I have all kinds of back trouble and try all kinds of weird tools to help. This is a nice simple, but helpful device for creating some traction in the spine. Honestly, sometimes there is so little motion in my back that the very first level is too much, but it does help. Generally, you can move it up and down the spine to encourage some extension in different places. I really like that, when I place it a little higher up, just below the shoulder blades, I not only get extension in the spine, but it perfectly pulls my should blades apart and creates some movement in the muscle and other surrounding tissue.
